Genshin Impact 4.7: Should You Pull For Sigewinne or Furina (2024)

Having to choose between pulling for Sigewinne and Furina in Genshin Impact 4.7 may be a very real struggle for players, especially those that do not have an extra income of paid Primogems to assist them in their gacha-related efforts. Obtaining new 5-star characters relies on having enough Primogems to buy Intertwined Fates and then facing character banners to try and get them – of course, players also have to face pull rates in Genshin Impact’s banners, which could make them spend a lot more than they were expecting, given the low chances of getting a 5-star unit.

With the two characters running in banners simultaneously and with the low odds of pulling a 5-star unit, it is quite common for players to burn through dozens of Intertwined Fates and thousands of Stellar Jade before getting who they want – and, in doing so, exhaust their Stellar Jade bank, which then makes it impossible for them to pull more times. The two featured 5-star character banners also share a loot pull, so once players hit their pity on one, it resets for both, making it tougher to get both Sigewinne and Furina in Genshin Impact 4.7.

The Characters Are Available In The Update’s Phase 2 Banners

Both Sigewinne and Furina will be available in Phase 2 banners in Version 4.7. Their time in the limelight will start once Phase 1, starred by Clorinde and Alhaitham, ends. Phase 2 banners start on June 25 and are expected to last up until July 16. After this, Version 4.8 should start, once again swapping the limited-time character banners. During the period, Sigewinne and Furina’s signature weapons will also be available in the gacha system, though they will share the same banner and be integrated into the controversial Epitomized Path mechanic in Genshin Impact.

The 5-Star Hydro Archer Uses The Bond Of Life Mechanic To Enhance Healing

Sigewinne is a 5-star Hydro Archer whose main role in team comps is to provide healing to her allies. She is capable of dealing damage, too, but her specialty is healing, which is aligned with her narrative role as the chief nurse at the Fortress of Meropide. With her Elemental Skill, Sigewinne throws a bouncing Hydro bubble at opponents, dealing damage to them and, with each bounce, healing her allies – she heals herself, too, once the bubble disappears. This bubble can be charged to increase its size, DMG, and healing effect in Genshin Impact.

Additionally, if Sigewinne’s bubble hits a weaker opponent, the enemy will be trapped for a short period. Her Elemental Skill also produces Sourcewater Droplets, Hydro pick-ups that were first introduced with Neuvillette. When Sigewinne picks them up, she gains Bond of Life, the HP-based debuff mechanic that is also present in Arlecchino and Clorinde’s gameplay kits. When Sigewinne gains Bond of Life, the goal is to clear it, as this will help her restore Elemental Energy. Additionally, through a passive skill, Sigewinne’s healing increases based on the amount of Bond of Life on all characters in the party.

Another of Sigewinne’s passive skills can increase the damage caused by allies when they are using abilities and are off-field, following Sigewinne’s usage of her Skill, making her a great buffer for sub-DPS characters. Her Elemental Burst is an offensive attack that deals Hydro DMG to opponents. Overall, Sigewinne should be the team’s dedicated healer, as her best offensive properties only emerge once players unlock Constellation level 6, which is not quite a possibility for everyone. There are both benefits and downsides to having Sigewinne in the team in Genshin Impact, however.

The positive aspects are that Sigewinne’s healing scales off her HP and that HP-building her is extremely easy to achieve. Additionally, the creation of Sourcewater Droplets may serve both her and Neuvillette, if players are planning on using him as the team’s main DPS. With her creation of the pick-up, Neuvillette can accelerate the formation of the Seal that enables his Charged Attacks and even heals him, which could be a great way of pushing his HP fluctuation mechanics further and ensuring he has more life to lose when attacking in Genshin Impact.

Another great side to Sigewinne is how she plays in with the Bond of Life mechanic – aided by characters that are set to have high Bond of Life counters like Arlecchino and Clorinde, Sigewinne’s boost to healing via the team’s Bond of Life can see her significantly restore the HP for her allies, even if those with Bond of Life do not get healing. Additionally, her buff to off-field damage is one that should not be ignored, as it can substantially increase a sub-DPS’ presence on the field and aid with exterminating enemies a lot quicker.

Sigewinne can also help with exploration, as she can heal active characters underwater when their HP falls under 50%. This could help avoid some nuisances when swimming in Fontaine. On the other hand, there are some downsides to Sigewinne. If players want to build her as a hybrid healer and damage dealer, they may find some trouble balancing her stats between HP, CRIT, and enough Energy Recharge to fuel her Burst.

The Hydro Archon’s Proxy Is One Of The Best & Most Versatile Characters In The Game

In contrast with Sigewinne’s novelty, Furina is already well-established as one of the best characters in the game. The proxy to the Hydro Archon is a versatile character who can operate as a sub-DPS, a healer, a buffer, or a hybrid healer-buffer. There are many possible Furina builds in Genshin Impact, and this three-in-one status is, for now, very unique to her. As a sub-DPS, Furina is extremely reliable with her off-field Hydro DMG that hits hard and lasts a long time via her Elemental Skill. The downside here is needing a dedicated healer, like Sigewinne, for instance.

As a healer, Furina can also be very strong and provides long and reliable restoration while off-field. With her buffer build, Furina can be a bit more complicated to build since she relies more on her Burst than on her Skill, but this ability can activate a massive ATK bonus for the party. There is no real downside to Furina as a character in Genshin Impact since her three options (four, if you mix up healing and buffing into a single yet reliable build) all work spectacularly well.

Overall, Furina is one of the most versatile of characters among the current roster and, between her and Sigewinne, the Furina is a better choice given her status and flexibility as a unit. Sigewinne also has her perks, so if players prefer to pull for her due to their aesthetic or gameplay preferences, they should certainly do so. The choice between Sigewinne and Furina is completely up to the player and their needs, even if Furina is a better character in Genshin Impact.
